Membership:
There will be
three categories of membership:
a) Ordinary Member:
An adult person who is Buddhist and a permanent resident of the undivided
Chittagong Hill Tracts can be a member by paying a subscription of TK. 5/0
per month of TK.60 (Sixty Taka) per year.
b) Life Member: An adult person of the above description donating a sum of Tk. 10,000/= (Ten Thousand) at a time can be a life member.
c) Donor Member: A voluntary donor, either regular of casual may be treated as ordinary member but how long one will be entertained as member will depend on the amount of donation of the individual.
Voluntary donors not belonging to the Duddhist Community of the undivided Chittagong Hill Tracts may be treated as donor members only and they shall have no right of voting.
Cancellation of
membership:
Membership of the
JMF shall be cancelled on any of the following grounds:
a) Members withholding payment of subscription for one year.
b) Members acting in any way prejudicial to the interest of the Jumchab.
c) Member absenting themselves in three consecutive meetings of the
committee.
d) members convicted in a court of law for criminal offence.
Re-Admission of a Member:
Any member whose membership has been cancelled may apply for re-admission
to the Jumchab unless he/she may be re-admitted into the Jumchab and
subject to confirmation by the working committee on payment of
subscription or membership fee.
