to JMF for expanding its programs and projects.
Dear
friends/donors/sponsors,
Warm greetings from the Jumchab Metta Foundation (JMF), Rangamati, CHTs, Bangladesh!
We specially would like to express our
gratitude to PARTAGE, Brac, Danida-NGO Forum-HTNF, CHT Dev. Board and sponsors for
supporting in various way to JMF’s development activities. At first, we like to
introduce the JMF to you that it is a voluntary and non-profitable social welfare
organization registered with the Social Welfare Department of the Government of
Bangladesh. It was registered on 31 January 2000 and its registration number is SWD/Ranga/127/2000,
dt.-31/01/2000. It is managed by an elected Executive Committee, which is
committed to social welfare of the minority indigenous tribal and non-tribal
people
of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHTs).
The indigenous (At least twelve ethnic
communities as, Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Tanchangya, Mro, Lushai, Khumi, Chak, Khyang,
Bawm, Pankhu and Reang) people along with non-tribal in the CHT are backward in every
aspect of life. Their socio-economic conditions are extremely poor. In order to improve
their socio-economic conditions from the beginning, JMF has been working in various
sectors as-NFPE, Childcare, HYSAWA, KG school, Sponsorship & Scholarship collection,
humanitarian & emergency help and other development activities.
Now we are considering expanding our all
shorts of programs, projects and other development activities with including poverty
alleviation program. So, we request you to generous donors, donor agencies, friends,
previous sponsors to extend support to JMF for expanding its programs and projects.
